Wednesday Video: The Gourds

I know it's Thursday, but I've been trying to get this working since Tuesday. So I'm splitting the difference. This is a clip of The Gourds, in 2001, playing in Reading, Pennsylvania, at what looks like either somebody's basement, or something that was developed by the guy that owned the Keyhole Inn. The song is El Paso, and it features great violin jamming by Max Johnston, and some sweet mandolin by Kevin Russell.

Nice clip. I actually don't have Blood of the Ram, but I did get the more recent album Heavy Ornamentals, which is excellent.

That's right, I was off. Blood of the Ram is great, too, though, you should get it. I haven't run into you downtown in a while, they working you too hard?

yeah, i've been buried at work. Did take a break last week to see the Dead Kennedys with Sheddly though.

I'm really glad that the Nats won the red-eye game last night, so all the Philly Guidos had to drive home angry, wet and tired.
